The comeback buzz began building 2007 when VH1 aired an episode of Behind The Music spotlighting the drama that swirled around Ratt’s remarkable run headling arena tours, (10) albums, four consecutive multi Platinum and gold albums, including (1)platinum and gold long form videos since the release of their self titled RATT E.P. in 1983, which sold 300,000 copies. Their debut multi platinum hit "Out of the Cellar", which turned the world on to the mega hit "Round & Round", wich is now featured in every rock video game. The track was the first in a long line of hit songs and videos that made Ratt a fixture on the radio to this day and MTV/VH-1 as well as a major live act playing to sold-out crowds around the world. The return of “Ratt ’n’ Roll” became a reality 2007 when founding members – vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Warren DeMartini and drummer Bobby Blotzer – launched a summer tour, their first together in eight years. Joined onstage by bassist Robbie Crane and guitarist John Corabi (who is now relaced by Carlos Cavazo, former Quiet Riot lead guitarist) in 2008 Ratt toured Canada, Europe, Japan, South America and Australia, Sweden and Spain.
The tours were only the first step. The group had also released two compilations in 2008 through Rhino Records. Tell the world: The Very Best Of Ratt is a career-spanning CD that includes standout songs from all seven of the band’s studio albums as well as unreleased material. Ratt: Videos From The Cellar: The Atlantic Years is the group’s first DVD release and combines both of Ratt’s previously released video collections along with several bonus features.
Selling more than (20) million albums worldwide, and establishing itself as one of the most popular groups of the 1980s, Ratt is Back for More! Pearcy says. We’re back together and out on the road, with new music for what will be our first studio release in ten years. We'll be back for the real attack when the new music is released. On the 25th year since the debut multi platinum release "Out Of The Cellar", which introduced the mega hit "Round & Round" and found on every new rock video game released, the band RATT is in the studio preparing for a new release and a world tour to follow 2009-2010. The song has most recently been heard in "The Wrestler" with Mickey Rourke. Pearcy says, "We cannot be exterminated".
