Reed Gold Mine SHS

Site of the First Discovery of Gold in America, 1799. Visitors can take a guided underground tour through 450 ft. of restored tunnel, walk on 1.5 miles of trails, museum, film, and stamp mill tours available. Panning for gold is open April 1-October 31st. Fee is $2 per pan of dirt, all other activities are free.
