USO of North Carolina active duty military families will assist in breaking the record for the largest shared reading experience ever, and promote the importance of reading. All children of active duty military families are invited to participate in the Read for the Record event on Thursday, October 8,and join in reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar with thousands of families world-wide. Sir Purr and the Mayor of North Carolina will be in attendance. Also, food and drinks will be provided.
